Diamondbacks Announce “Evening on the Diamond” Details

For the fourth year, the Arizona Diamondbacks in conjunction with Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation will hold the “Evening on the Diamond” event. This event is not your typical fund raiser. It is more black-tie than black cleats.

The “Evening on the Diamond” event allows fans to mingle with some of the most generous people in Arizona. Tables for dinner are set up on the playing field around the infield dirt. Each of these tables will include members of the Diamondbacks front office as well as players.

Guests are invited to get to know the players and enjoy a fantastic meal by some of the best chefs. Besides mingling with the players, participants also enjoy great entertainment.

In past years the event featured such entertainment greats as Bill Cosby, Kenny Loggins, and George Benson. This year the Diamondbacks welcome late-night talk show icon Jay Leno as the headliner at “Evening on the Diamond”.

Leno promises to bring his wonderful knack for making people laugh while giving to a great cause. The “Evening on the Diamond” is scheduled for April 1. Anyone interested in attending this event can call 602-462-6573 or e-mail dbacksfoundation@dbacks.com.

Openings for this event are still available and prices range from $10,000 to $35,000. This is an opportunity for you to support a great cause and enjoy an evening that you will never forget.

  1. Could you please tell me what the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation contributes to?

    • Hi Lynn,

The Diamondbacks web site has some good information about the Diamondbacks Foundation. They are involved with a lot of activities. One that is near and dear to my heart is the Diamond Backs Fields where they build baseball diamonds in lower income areas to provide a place for youth to play the game. They also work closely with the Diamondbacks Training Centers to offer baseball camps for the less fortunate. At Christmas they provide shoes and gifts for families who would not otherwise receive them. The Diamondbacks Foundation also runs the scholarship program where they award season tickets to deserving people who could not afford them. Each fall they work with the United Way to raise money for those organizations as well. Finally, the Diamondbacks Foundation also has a grant program to provide money to worthy programs throughout the community. These are just a few of the charities that they work with that I am aware of, there are undoubtedly many more. You can get additional information by sending an email to dbacksfoundation@dbacks.com or by calling them at 602-462-6573. I hope this information helps answer your question.
