Diamondbacks Add to Bench Strength
When Diamondbacks General Manager Kevin Towers announced the team was likely finished with their roster overhaul, many wondered if he truly meant that or whether this was just a lull in the storm.
That question was answered today as the Arizona Diamondbacks signed utility man Willie Bloomquist to a one-year deal worth a reported $1.05 million. Bloomquist who played for the Kansas City Royals and the Cincinnati Reds last season adds versatility to manager Kirk Gibson’s bench.
