I hate to jinx this but it is starting to look more and more like the Arizona Diamondbacks might return to the post season since 2007 when they came from no where to surprise everyone by not only winning the National League West but getting a the way to the National League Championship Series falling to a red hot Colorado Rockies team.
That year was followed by a disappointing 2008 season where the Diamondbacks faded late to miss the playoffs. Then who can forget the 2009 and 2010 seasons where the Diamondbacks finished in last place in the NL West. It will take a lot of off-season therapy to get me through those memories.
Now though the future is looking bright and expectations are rising. With a seven game lead over the World Champion San Francisco Giants the Diamondbacks are beginning pre-sales for potential playoff tickets.
The mere thought of October baseball at Chase Field gives me goosebumps. Hopefully it comes to fruition. The Diamondbacks have announced pricing for the Divisional Series for the first round.
As has been the case all season the Arizona Diamondbacks are the best value around. Ticket prices are approximately 20 percent lower than they were in 2007. Upper deck tickets start at just $12 which is unheard of for games in the post season. The most expensive tickets are $140 which is very competitively priced.
Fans wishing to register for the opportunity to purchase playoff tickets are invited to go to the Diamondbacks web site to enter a ticket lottery. You definitely don’t want to miss seeing Arizona return to the post season on the tenth anniversary of them winning the World Series.
